The 2025 Georgia Stand for Life serves as a memorial to the more than 65 million preborn children whose lives were taken by abortion since 1973. It is also an opportunity for those who advocate for life to be encouraged and educated in their continued efforts to bring equal protection to children in the womb in Georgia.
Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) has hosted this annual event every year for over 40 years to bring public awareness to the issue of abortion and the millions of people who are missing from our world as a result.

He has co-authored several impactful books: Why Are you Afraid?; Just Thinking: About Ethnicity; and Just Thinking: About the State, which explore race, social justice, and government through a biblical lens. We march to remember the more than 65 million preborn babies who lost their lives to abortion – and the approximately 130 million parents whose children are not with us.
Q&A About the 2025 Event
Why change the name of the event?
Just as this event has changed its venue and focus over time, we changed the name to reflect current initiatives. The name has changed over the years from Together for Life to the Georgia March for Life, and now the Georgia Stand for Life. In 2023, GRTL leadership chose to not affiliate with the National March for Life but rather to remain independent in its ability to hold this annual event.
We look forward to seeing old and new friends at this event!

Annual Memorial Service & March History
Are you one of the faithful pro-life, pro-personhood Georgians who has been attending this event year after year for decades? You may remember that the annual march began in the 1980s as the “January 22nd Memorial Committee” held annually on (or near) January 22nd, the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
The first event was a Prayer Breakfast, and the second year the event was held at the State Capitol. The Memorial service and March began in the second year.
“Together for Life” was the popular name for the event, and from 2014 to 2023 the annual event was known as the Georgia March for Life.
Since January 2024, the annual event has become known as the Georgia Stand for Life. The event continues to include a memorial service and a silent march.
