This fall, Planned Parenthood gleefully announced yet another anniversary. Ninety-seven years old and counting, Planned Parenthood began as the American Birth Control League, the brainchild of extreme leftist and known eugenicist, Margaret Sanger.
Sanger’s lifelong ambition was to reduce the world’s population, particularly the poor and “unfit,” through birth control: a plan she said would be the “salvation of American civilization”. Other infamous remarks attributed to Margaret Sanger:
- “Eugenics is … the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.”
- “The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”
- “Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.”
Planned Parenthood’s continued eugenic policies have been documented by Protecting Black Life(a project of Life Issues Institute). Current research finds 79 percent of Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinics are located in or within walking distance of Black and Hispanic communities.
While the claim that Planned Parenthood targets minorities is not new, it has been further validated by statistics from recent Census Data tracts and is illustrated in these maps.
Rev. Arnold Culbreath, director of Protecting Black Life remarked, “Minority communities are the number one targets of Planned Parenthood. It’s no wonder abortion remains the leading cause of death among African-Americans, higher than all other causes combined.”
Sadly, abortion statistics also validate the claim that Planned Parenthood targets minorities. On average, 1,876 black babies are aborted every day in the United States.
Minority women constitute only about 13% of the female population (age 15-44) in the United States, but had approximately 36% of the abortions.
According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, black women are more than 5 times as likely as white women to have an abortion
On September 11, 2013, pro-life activists gathered at Planned Parenthood in Virginia Beach, Virginia, to mourn the thousands of children killed there.
Dr. Day Gardner, President of the National Black Pro-Life Union in Washington, D.C. remarked, “It is especially sad knowing that in Virginia Beach, Tamer Middleton, a black abortionist who preys on her own people, was in the clinic today slicing and dicing children into little bits.”
Ironically, Dr. Tamer Middleton is listed as a Family Medicine physician in Decatur, GA. Middleton is further known as a “fly-in” abortionist, working primarily in predominately black neighborhoods, such as Virginia Beach, VA, Mobile, AL, and here in Georgia at the Feminist Women’s Health Center in Atlanta.
The facts clearly point to a shocking eugenic philosophy thriving in Planned Parenthood’s practices even today.
