Terry Queen - A Mighty Warrior for the VoicelessHow do you celebrate someone when words are not enough? How do you say thank you when it’s impossible to grasp the magnitude of their contributions?

That’s the challenge when remembering what Terry Queen has meant to the pro-life movement in Georgia.

Terry, Georgia Right to Life’s Walton County Chapter leader, went to be with the Lord on November 13, after a long battle with cancer. He also was a member of the Board of Directors for the Pregnancy Center of Walton, the county’s pregnancy resource center (PRC).

“We’ll never know how many precious lives were saved because of Terry’s tireless efforts to protect the pre-born,” said Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) President Ricardo Davis. “He leaves an unparalleled legacy.”

Dan Becker, former GRTL President said, “In over 40 years of pro-life activism, I say this sincerely, Terry is one of the top 10 pro-life activists I have ever seen. If we had more Terry Queens, abortion would have already been banned years ago.”

“Queen was well known locally and across the state for his passion to protect those who could not protect themselves, to speak for those who could not speak for themselves, and to stand for those who could not stand for themselves,” the Walton County Tribune wrote.

Terry’s unselfish efforts were recognized by the paper in 2019 when he was named an “Unsung Hero.”

Commenting on the award, Yvonne Genest, former PRC Executive Director, said, “He is so life-affirming in every aspect of his life. Not just in this ministry, but in his relationships in the community, his family relationships, and his church relationships. He just takes hold of whatever God has placed [on] him, and he gives 150 percent. It is an honor to know him, to serve the Lord alongside him, and without him we would not be the ministry we are today – no doubt about that.”

Echoing Becker’s observation, Genest added, “The world would be such a better place if we had more Terry Queens in it.”

The Rev. Jeff Box, pastor of Terry’s home church, said, “He was one of the best men I have ever known. He was a true servant of the Lord, never hesitant to put his hands to the plow of service. He was a champion for life and a passionate warrior on behalf of the pre-born.”

Terry organized meetings bringing featured speakers from across the state. He also organized the annual Life Chain event in downtown Monroe, when hundreds of local residents gathering on the first Sunday in October each year to stand and pray to end abortion.

Between conducting presentations, he visited church after church and pastor after pastor passionately explaining why Biblical Personhood is so critical to being truly pro-life.

What a commitment to the cause he had. What unselfish devotion to ending the tragedy of abortion he had! May Terry’s life inspire every pro-life advocate to go the extra mile in speaking up for the pre-born.
