Pro-personhood advocates gather annually from across the Southeast to mourn, pray and express sorrow for the more than 63,000,000 children denied the chance at life, as well as for the women and men whose lives have been damaged by abortion.
Families, friends, whole communities have been hurt by abortion – join us as we gather to mourn and pray for an end to the terrible scourge of abortion.
“The blood-stained statistics on abortion remain horrific,” said Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) president, Ricardo Davis. “We need to look past the numbers and see the humanity of each person affected by this tragedy. They are our family members, co-workers, fellow students, and church members. Whether abortion is forced on a helpless victim as we see in human trafficking, or occurs for any other reason, abortion is an evil that has this nation in a death grip that must be broken.”
“The blood of these innocent precious children cries out for justice,” Davis added. “I ask all pro-life supporters to join GRTL at the 2023 Georgia March for Life and Rally in recommitting to the cause of Personhood, the paramount right to life. Together we can advance Personhood in Georgia through more prayer and teaching on the sanctity of life in our churches; more education in our communities; and more discernment in selecting our representatives in the legislature, law enforcement, and courts. We must be united in our message to lawmakers and jurists that we will no longer tolerate abortion on demand in Georgia.”
The Annual Memorial Service
On Friday, January 20, 2023, gather at Liberty Plaza at 12 noon (EST), for a memorial service that includes a keynote address by Daphne Harris Nicely, Executive Director of Atlanta Morning Center, a ministry launched by Samaritan Ministries International in 2011 out of love for mothers and their newborns. The Morning Center provides prenatal through postpartum care to moms in need at no charge. Daphne Harris Nicely left a promising career in corporate America in March of 2007 for full time missions and ministry service. A true champion for life, Daphne is passionate and committed to personhood and the sanctity of all life created in the image of God.
Why We Still March – Preborn Children are Still Dying
Since the overturn of Roe v. Wade in June 2022, many people do not realize that abortions are still taking place in Georgia as they were before the US Supreme Court ruling. The laws in Georgia allow abortions of children conceived in rape/incest, those who have negative medical diagnoses, and those whose mother may have a threatening illness or disease. It also allows for preborn children from conception to 6 weeks gestation to be killed. In her keynote address, Daphne will take a hard look at the disproportion of abortion in Georgia’s black community and the importance of ending the scourge of abortion once and for all in our state. Prepare to be challenged by Daphne’s straightforward and educational approach to the issues that plague our society and lead to the deaths of over 30,000 preborn children per year in Georgia.
The Georgia March for Life
At 1 p.m. dedicated pro-life Georgians join in a one-mile silent walk against the tragic loss of more than 63 million innocent lives since the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.
The Georgians Ending Abortion Rally
An added feature to the 2023 GA March for Life is the Rally that will take place at approximately 1:40 p.m. back in Liberty Plaza, following the silent march. Plan to re-join us for a call to action rally featuring Jay Andrews of BLEXIT Georgia and others as we stand for life and let our state leaders know that we seek to end abortion in the state of Georgia. In contrast to the silent march, this will be a time to make our voices heard!
In the days and weeks ahead, please make plans to join us at the 2023 Georgia March for Life on Friday, January 20. Be counted and REGISTER as one of thousands who care enough to join others to silently pray and walk through the streets of Atlanta as we remember the more than 63,000,000 of pre-born babies lost to abortion.
Rain or Shine Event
