Did you know that there are now 11 U.S. states, plus Washington, D.C., that have legalized the euphemistically named MAID, or medical aid in dying?[1] This is really physician-assisted suicide. The American Medical Association’s Code of Medical Ethics describes physician-assisted suicide as the process where a physician provides “the necessary means and/or information to enable the patient to perform the life-ending act.”[2]
Euthanasia: What are we really asking for?
At the beginning of February of this year, a couple, both 93, died together. They did not die in a car crash or at the end of a gun. They died quietly, holding hands. This sounds like an appealing “way to go.” If you died with your spouse, you would not experience grief or loneliness. You could live without burdening your family with your needs as you age. All these aspects put this approach to dying in a favorable light.
Assisted Suicide: Good News, Bad News, Be Vigilant
Good News from the American Medical Association According to a recent article in National Review online, November 14, 2023, the American Medical Association recently had an opportunity to repeal its existing policy against assisted suicide, and euthanasia for the fourth time, the delegates refused to budge. The current policy remains in place, which states in part: Euthanasia is incompatible with the physician’s role as healer, would be difficult or impossible to control, and would pose...
The Personhood of the Elderly
The percentage of our population aged 65 and older was 16.5 percent in 2019, up from 4.1 percent in 1900. By 2050 it’s projected to be 22 percent. Sadly, how our society deals with older people is a travesty. Trend to Devalue Personhood of Elderly Thanks to a growing trend of viewing seniors as a burden and economic drain, the elderly are often: denied proper medical care; hunted down by organ harvesters; encouraged to kill themselves; or worst of all, killed without their consent. The quest...
Killing Yourself? Bring a Child
There’s no limit to what ungodly people are willing to subject children to, and in Canada that now includes bringing them along when a loved one is being euthanized. Children between six and twelve are introduced to the killing fields by Canada’s virtual hospice presentation that includes a “Medical Assistance in Dying Activity Book.” It’s a diabolical effort to make children believe that helping someone to kill themself is an acceptable practice. After a graphic description of how euthanasia...
Death Train Getting Longer
Merchants of death are excitedly pushing to add more cars to their anti-Personhood train that takes the elderly and infirm to the tragedy of ending their own lives. Advocates of enabling people to kill themselves are hoping Massachusetts will open the floodgates for enacting more physician assisted death laws across the country. “They [opponents] know that if death with dignity passes in Massachusetts, other states will quickly follow their leadership,” according to Peg Sandeen, Chief...
Physician-Assisted Suicide Lies
Most people think that those who pursue physician-assisted suicide (PAS) want to end unbearable physical pain. Pop a pill then both you and your pain are gone. That’s because advocates promote the idea with misleading claims. For example, Compassion and Choices (formerly the Hemlock Society) claims it’s seeking to transform our health care system which “…allows too much needless pain and suffering.” PAS is currently allowed in: Oregon, Washington State, Montana, Vermont, California, Colorado,...
Assisted Suicide’s Slippery Slope
February 2021: Culture of death advocates always claim an evil policy never leads to something even worse. There’s no better example than assisted suicide. Wherever it’s legal, supporters are constantly working to expand who’s eligible, or making it easier, faster and less expensive. The latest example is Washington State, which is considering legislation that would eliminate most of the so-called “safeguards” included in the 2008 bill that legalized the anti-Personhood practice. Not...

Murder Masquerading as “Assisted Suicide”
September 2019 – Article 2: Ironies are so deceptively subtle, they sometimes go unnoticed. Here’s one that should have been glaringly obvious, due to the profound tragedy involved… September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day and is celebrated in countries around the world, including the United States. Sponsored by the World Health Organization, it is intended to raise awareness that suicide can be prevented. At the same time, support for the expansion of assisted suicide continues to...
