March 2020 – Article 2:
We’re bombarded with so much information from so many sources, we start tuning things out.
With that in mind, the following is a brief summary of some of the most outrageous anti-life news you may have missed.
Anti-life Violence
During this year’s national March for Life, a pro-abortion activist told a 20-year-old college student that if she didn’t back up, she would “f******” slit your throat.”
The encounter occurred outside the U.S. Supreme Court where the student had gone to reserve space before the march began.
The police were called, who reportedly handcuffed the woman.
Sparing the Animals
Animals are God’s creation and should never be mistreated or abused. Leave it to California, where more than 130,000 innocent children were killed in 2018, to place a higher value on pets.
Governor Gavin Newsom’s latest budget includes a one-time, $50 million grant to prevent the euthanasia of healthy or treatable dogs and cats.
“Woof-woof-hooray” Newsome shared on his Twitter account in announcing that the funds will be used to provide the state’s animal shelters with resources and training to meet the state’s no-kill goal in five years.
Higher Education Abortion
Further evidence of his moral lunacy, late last year California Governor Gavin Newsome signed SB 24, which mandates that all public colleges in the state must provide the abortion pill (RU-486).
The goal is to “remove barriers to reproductive health.”
Promoters ignored the fact that using the method is dangerous. The FDA has confirmed that more than 20 women have died from using RU-486, and more than 4,000 women have experienced complications.
Save the Animals: Eliminate People
Just when you think it couldn’t get any crazier, a United Kingdom college professor has unveiled an absolutely insane way to protect animals.
Patricia MacCormack, professor of continental philosophy at Angelia Ruskin University, has released a manifesto asserting the only way to insure animal survival is to eliminate the human race.
“Due to the damage done to other living creatures on earth, we should start gradually phasing out reproduction,” she says.
She also has said we need to “dismantle religion” and “other overriding powers like the church of capitalism or the cult of self, as it makes people act upon enforced rules rather than respond thoughtfully to the situations in front of them.”
A self-proclaimed “occultist magician” who invokes demons, MacCormack has also written about feminism, queer theory, post human theory, body modification, and animal rights.
Pro-life Laws are What?
An attention-grabbing new billboard on I-25 between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, recently unveiled a new strategy to promote abortion.
The billboard, clearly meant to shock, proclaims: “Rape is about power and control. So are abortion bans.”
The ads were created by Progress Now New Mexico.
Doctors Not Needed
Not satisfied with just allowing abortions up to the point of birth, anti-life lawmakers in Virginia are working on legislation that would allow non-doctors to commit abortions. They also want to end existing requirements that women be given pre-abortion ultrasounds, counseling, and eliminate the 24-hour waiting period.
The House version would expand who can commit abortions in the first trimester to midwives, nurse practitioners, and physicians’ assistants. The Senate version would only allow nurse practitioners and midwives.
If the bills are reconciled and eventually pass, I suspect Governor Ralph Northam—who has expressed support for infanticide—to sign it.
Anti-life Educators
The National Education Association (NEA) earlier this year approved a “business item” expressing support for abortion access.
“The NEA will include an assertion of our defense of a person’s right to control their own body, especially for women, youth, and sexually marginalized people,” the resolution states. “The NEA vigorously opposes all attacks on the right to choose and stands on the fundamental right to abortion under Roe v Wade.”
The NEA is the largest teachers union in the U.S. with more than 3 million members.
These are just some of the recent developments that threaten the Personhood of every individual and should inspire pro-life supporters to re-double efforts to protect the sanctity of every human life.
