For it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. The feeling in the nation must be quickened, the conscience of the nation must be roused, the propriety of the nation must be startled, the hypocrisy of the nation must be exposed: and its crimes against God and man must be denounced.[1]
Has anyone ever told you that “You can’t impose your morality on me!” as you defended your pro-life views? How would you respond? Would you respond with the view that morality is simply subjective, based on the current trends of society?
Did you know that there are now 11 U.S. states, plus Washington, D.C., that have legalized the euphemistically named MAID, or medical aid in dying?[1] This is really physician-assisted suicide. The American Medical Association’s Code of Medical Ethics describes physician-assisted suicide as the process where a physician provides “the necessary means and/or information to enable the patient to perform the life-ending act.”[2]
