The Gift of Family

Adoption & Fostering

Adoption is a beautiful extension of love that, as Christians, we have experienced firsthand with our Heavenly Father. It is a wonderful grace we have been given and one we can offer to others.

Today, only 3.1% of Americans have adopted. This number pales in comparison to the number of children in need of a family. Hundreds of thousands of children in the U.S. are still hoping for permanent families, stable homes, and unconditional love. While many people express support for adoption in theory, several barriers hold families back. How should we engage with this need as Christians?

Sharing Love, Growing Families

Impact of Adoption

The impact of adoption, and a culture that bolsters adoption, is profound. Among foster and adoptive families surveyed, 19% report that their families are flourishing. This is not just a statistic, but a reminder that when children are welcomed into stable, loving homes, lives can be transformed.

Benefits of Fostering

“I have been a foster parent for over a year. It has presented challenges, but the blessings outweigh the hardships. Christ revealed that I may not be able to have biological children, but I can care for orphans and make Him known.”
