Abortion Recovery: Finding Hope in Christ
April is Abortion Recovery Awareness month. It is the time of year when I am reminded of the hard truths about abortion and the aftermath that comes from this evil act.
Most men and women are often not prepared for what comes in the months and years after they make the choice to abort their baby. Post Abortion Syndrome is real. Symptoms may include suicidal thoughts, depression, guilt, shame, regret, drug and/or alcohol abuse, promiscuity, and much more.
In Memoriam: Caryl Swift
Georgia Right to Life remembers with deep gratitude the life and leadership of Caryl Swift (November 27, 1940 – January 17, 2026), who served as President of the organization from 1999 to 2007. Her presidency marked a formative period of growth, courage, and innovation that continues to shape the organization’s mission today.
AI for the Good: Productivity in Personhood
Over 10,000 young women in five Georgia counties are reached monthly with a pro-life message through digital ads that Georgia Right to Life helps fund.[1]
Is AI a Threat to Personhood?
How should a Christian think about AI and Personhood? The futuristic vision of the tech world is already conjuring up personhood for man-made think-bots, all the while preborn babies are scarcely afforded the same. This is not an exaggeration by any means.
Chinese Billionaires Create American Mega-Families through Unregulated IVF and Surrogacy
What comes to mind when you hear the words IVF and surrogacy? For many, these terms bring to mind images of couples who have longed for children and turned to assisted reproductive technology (ART) for assistance. These technologies tend to be presented as compassionate solutions, in order to fulfill a desire that is profoundly human.
Ten Years of Standing Strong for Life
For it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. The feeling in the nation must be quickened, the conscience of the nation must be roused, the propriety of the nation must be startled, the hypocrisy of the nation must be exposed: and its crimes against God and man must be denounced.[1]
Life of the Mother Position Statement
To understand the Georgia Right to Life position, it is necessary to first define what an abortion is. According to the Center of Disease Control and Prevention an induced abortion is an “intervention performed by a licensed clinician (e.g., a physician, nurse-midwife, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant) that is intended to terminate a suspected or known ongoing intrauterine pregnancy and that does not result in a live birth.”
Legislative Watch: Bringing Newborn Safety Devices to Georgia
We are less than one week from the start of the 2026 Georgia Legislative Session. HB350 is an important piece of legislation that will allow municipalities in Georgia to install newborn safety devices to help decrease the incidence of infant abandonment by giving parents in crisis a safe, legal and anonymous option for surrender of a newborn under current safe haven law.
HB350: Amie and Brittany’s Fight to Protect Life When No One Is Watching
The cries of a newborn were heard coming from a motel dumpster. This isn’t a horror novel; this was reality in Columbus, Georgia only a few months ago.[1] This child survived because someone intervened in time. Not every story ends that way. Incidents like this are rare enough to shock us, yet common enough to reveal a painful truth: when mothers feel trapped, afraid, or unseen, desperate decisions can follow.
From Brokenness to Bold Faith: Brian Ottinger
Before coming to Christ, Brian lived an “experiential” life. He spent a decade serving in the United States Navy, working in intelligence, and traveling the world. By his own account, it was a life marked by sin and spiritual emptiness, absent of the truth of the gospel. “The more I pursued my own desires,” he shared, “the more pointless it all became.”
All of Life Summit Addresses Pressing Pro-life Topics
Georgia Right to Life’s inaugural All of Life Summit and 20th anniversary R.E.A.C.H. dinner was an intimate event that brought together passionate personhood advocates to dive deep into the pressing issues of today’s pro-personhood movement. With awe-inspiring speakers and interesting exhibitors, the event exceeded expectations and set a high bar for years to come.
The New Face of Abortion: The Abortion Pill Epidemic
For over fifty years, the national conversation about abortion has largely been focused on surgical procedures performed in clinics. The casual presence of abortion clinics feels dystopian, knowing that just beyond the ordinary-looking doors, blood is being shed.
